We spoke to owner of the Old Schoolhouse Milton, Jenny, to get her best tips on how to experience Milton like a local & support the region from near or far.
Q: What does the perfect stay at Old Schoolhouse Milton look like?
Peace and relaxation, saying hello to the chickens and collecting fresh eggs, sitting by the firepit and gazing at the stars. Cosy nights tucked up in lush linen sheets. Real country hospitality.
Q: What are the special accents that make staying at Old Schoolhouse Milton unique?
We like our guests to feel very special so we use only the best quality Australian products in our accommodation. From the bathroom products, candles, chocolates, bed linen and even our breakfast hamper we want to make the experience personal and memorable.
Q: What are the must-see places for visitors to experience the region like a local?
The Milton area is a food lovers paradise so a visit to Milkhaus, Cupitts Winery and Smalltown are high on the list. Beautiful beaches such as Narrawallee, Rennies and Washerwomans Bay which are the locals favourites. And for the adventurous, a walk to the top of Pigeon House Mountain for the most breathtaking views.
Q: For travellers wanting to support Regional NSW after a tough start to 2020 - who are 3 local businesses we can support from near and far?
Choosing just 3 is hard as Milton has so many beautiful boutique stores. You can't go past the handmade chocolates from the incredible Woodstock Chocolates, for homewares our first choice is Spaces 2538, for great fashion Miss Moss.
